Descripción

Refers to the period and style of art, predominantly sculpture and architecture, that coincided with the reign of Septimus Severus from 193 to 211 CE and his successors in the mid-3rd century CE. In sculpture, the style reflects changes in fashion such as close-trimmed beards and corkscrew curls. The period also witnessed extensive building projects, such as the Baths of Caracalla.
