Descripción

Refers to the period in Egypt from about 1540 to 1292 BCE. The period is characterized by a revival in the arts and a return to the traditions of the Middle Kingdom as well as artistic innovations including the revolutionary changes of the Amarna period, and a very high quality of craftsmanship. Works of art include many surviving royal statues, the relief decoration of a large number of tombs and temples, and finely worked decorative arts.
