The culture and style of the Aegean island of Samos, a site important in the cult of Hera and especially in the 6th century during the reign of Polykrates, as a cultural and commercial power. Important artistic production included grave stelae, funerary reliefs, monumental kouroi and korai, and in architecture, the Temple of Hera.
