Descripción
Refers to a style of Archaic Greek sculpture found on the Ionian Islands, off the southern coast of Peloponnesus. It is characterized by the use of marble rather than limestone, which had been common earlier, and by a progressive understanding of human anatomy and the development of new formal concepts.
