Refers to the style of works produced by the Phylakopi I culture in the Cycladic archipelago between circa 2200 and 1800 BCE during the Early Cycladic period and named for the site of the same name of Melos. Works of art include pottery painted with rectilinear motifs and metalwork but not the marble figures and vessels associated with previous periods.
