Descripción

Refers to a period and style in Mesopotamia from about 2150 to 2112 BCE, between the end of the Akkadian Empire and the start of the Third Dynasty of Ur. Used in particular to describe the sculptural style of Gudea of Lagash and cylinder seals of the period; however the dates of the reign of Gudea are now debated.
