Descripción

Refers to the period from about 1500 to 1300 BCE in northern Mesopotamia during which the Mitanni kingdom flourished. The art of the period is characterized by fine ivory carving, glass and glaze production, bronze and iron working, and cylinder seals combining Babylonian, Egyptian, and Aegean motifs.
