Refers to the period from about 2500 to 2000 BCE on the Oman peninsula named after the island of Umm an-Nar. The period is known for collective, monumental, circular graves sometimes decorated with reliefs characterized by their simplicity, as well as for decorated soft stone vessels with parallels in Mesopotamia and Persia.
