Refers to the pottery style found in the Konya plain of Anatolia around 5000 BCE, named after the site of Çatal Hüyük West. The style is characterized by vessels, most commonly jars, simple bowls, and cups, decorated with red painted linear designs on a buff or red ground that are sometimes burnished.
