Descripción

Refers to a Neolithic style and culture that flourished in the area of modern Bosnia and is named after the site at Butmir. It is characterized by high-quality vases on pedestals and other pottery decorated with ribbons, triangles, rhomboids, and spirals, and modeled clay figures with very expressive heads, where features are exaggerated, often in distinctive grimaces of surprise or alarm.
