Refers to the style of art asscoiated with the rule of emperor Hung Wu, founder of the Ming Dynasty in China. The re-establishment of a powerful native dynasty brought about the political and economic support for the arts in all fields. Painting, pottery, laquer and textiles were more elaborately developed than ever before.
