Descripción

Refers to the style of artifacts found on a site near the Yellow River at Anyang, the last capital of the Shang dynasty, 1384 to 111 BCE. Excavations from this site have unearthed, building foundations, stone and jade, bronze vessels, cord-impressed pottery with geometric and anthropomorthic designs, and inscribed animal oracle bones, the earliest Chinese written records.
