Descripción

Crucifixes that are specifically designed to be permanent adjuncts to the altar in a Roman Catholic church, traced back to at least the 13th century. They are prescribed to be placed at the middle of the altar between the candlesticks, of a size large enough to be conveniently seen by both the celebrant and the congregation.
