Descripción

Small sculptures carved from green nephrite and worn as pendants by the Maori people of New Zealand. Hei tiki are fertility symbols resembling the form of a human fetus. Traditionally worn only by women, they are handed down through generations. They are more recently mass-produced in plastic as tourist souvenirs or good luck charms.
