Descripción

Carved wooden figures of a woman holding a bowl, used by the Luba people of Central Africa in ceremonies pertaining to divination or to the transfer of power. Distinct from "mboko (containers)" which are sacred gourds used by Luba diviners to hold natural or manmade objects that are used in divination ceremonies.
