Descripción
Dolls with heads, and often necks, hands, feet, and occasionally the body, made of unglazed porcelain; produced since the mid-19th century. They are distinguished from glazed porcelain dolls in that the cheeks, eyes, and lips have color fired onto the bisque, however, the skin area is largely unglazed, producing a velvety surface that resembles natural skin more closely than shiny glazed porcelain dolls.
