Burmese arched harps, traditionally associated with the Buddhist royal dynasties, with a boat-shaped resonator covered with skin and lacquered, an arch made of a curved tree root, and 14 silk or nylon strings. They are held horizontally in the lap with the arch at the player's left when played.
