Reedpipes with double reed and cylindrical bore, with a wind cap covering the reed, a body curved at the lower end and slightly flared at the opening, one thumbhole, seven fingerholes, and one or more ventholes in the curved lower section; modern versions often have a key above the top fingerhole.
