Descripción
Small transverse flutes, historically of cylindrical bore and keyless, with six fingerholes; they have a sharp, shrill sound and are traditionally used in military music and signalling. In the 19th century a new model was developed, having a conical bore and a seventh fingerhole for E flat, often with a key.
