Descripción
Devices that are a combination of a dark lantern, night light, heater for food, milk, or shaving water, candleholder (in handle), and tinder box, usually made of tinned sheet iron. Based on a patented design of William Howe of Boston, 1812. Use also for earlier European examples partially or wholly of ceramic.
