Descripción
Small hanging lamps made of iron or earthenware having a handle at one end and a pinched spout for a wick at the other, utilizing a round bowl (called a "cruse") of about 3 inches in diameter to contain fuel, typically hard fat. The cruse lamp developed from the floating-wick pan lamps used by Mediterranean peoples in pre-Christian times.
