Descripción

Short swords, hangers, with short cross hilts, often elaborately decorated and made of fine materials such as carved bone or ivory or cast silver, sometimes with a chain linking the forward quillon to the pommel; some but not all were designed for hunting. They first appeared in the second quarter of the 17th century and became quite common in the 18th.
