Descripción
Bayonets introduced in Europe in the 18th century, designed primarily for use with shorter long guns such as carbines and musketoons, having long straight cutting blades and a swordlike grip and guard, Typically they attach to the barrel by means of a spring catch concealed in a slotted cavity in the grip which clips on to a bar on the side of the muzzle.
