Descripción
Refers to examples of the knitting machine invented by William Lee of Cambridge, England in 1589. It produced net composed of the basic looped ‘stocking stitch’ and thus superseded hand-knitting. The introduction of this technology initiated the process of mechanizing the textile industry.
