Descripción

Lands having grasses as the dominant vegetation, with trees and large shrubs absent. Temperatures vary more from summer to winter, and the amount of rainfall is less in temperate grasslands than in savannas. Examples are in South Africa, Hungary, Argentina and Uruguay, Russia, and the plains and prairies of central North America.
