Coverings that protect chimney openings from rain entering the flue, sometimes combined with or constructed as a single device with a "chimney cap," which is a cornice-like or other decorative termination to chimneys; for extensions placed on top of chimneys to improve draft or appearance, and which generally extend the flue, use "chimney pots."
