Descripción

Sets of pottery utensils designed to fit together vertically in the form of a vase or urn, made as a gift for women during confinement; usually consisting of a broth bowl on a raised foot, its cover in the form of a plate, a bowl or cup, a saltcellar, and its domed pierced cover. They were made in Italy during the Renaissance and subsequently in other parts of Europe, and were often elaborately decorated.
