Home theaters

Refers to the aggregate of high-end audio-video equipment, usually with large-screen television receivers and surround-sound capabilities, designed and arranged to provide theaterlike environments; may also be used for rooms designed to accommodate viewing images offered by such equipment. For domestic spaces whose focus is a home entertainment system, with video, music, and games, use "media rooms."
