Descripción
Tile with one face molded to look like the face or end of a brick; it was particularly popular between 1784 (the year the brick tax was passed in England) and 1850 (when the tax was repealed). It would be nailed to battens on a timber frame or other wall, or, occasionally, bedded into plaster rendering over cobble stones or pebbles.
