Descripción
A traditional crucible steel of southern India used for wire and sharp edged tools. Although associated in the popular imagination with Damascene swords, and legendarily a supersteel, wootz has a brittle structure subject to shattering, making it more suitable for ceremonial blades than for actual use in battle.
