Descripción
Strontium (symbol: Sr) is a soft silver-white metallic element that turns yellow when exposed to air. Strontium is used commercially in luminous paint, fireworks and television tubes, and the compound strontium-oxide serves as a non-toxic replacement for lead in ceramic glazes. Paleontologists study strontium levels in human and animal bone for information about ancient diet.
