Descripción
Granito del foro is an igneous rock which was once quarried at Mons Claudianus in Egypt. It is in fact a granodiorite rather than a granite, and is named for its use in buildings of the Roman Forum especially during the reigns of Trajan and Hadrian and in Tetrarchic imperial architecture.
