Descripción

Aragonite is a widespread mineral, a crystalline form of calcium carbonate that is found in deposits formed at low temperatures near the surface of the earth, occurring as stalactites, in sediments, iron-ore deposits, and basic rocks. It is also commonly found in pearls, coral, and shells. It was used in antiquity for beads and other decorative artifacts.
