Descripción
In botany, the term is technically reserved for the fertilized ovule of a phanerogam. Commonly also applied to the spore of a cryptogam: physically, a seed consists of a miniature undeveloped plant, alone or with nutrient material for development after germination, enclosed in a protective coat.
