Descripción
Refers to single large, squared or dressed pieces of wood ready for use, particularly for forming part of a structure. The term may also refer specifically to pieces used to create a curving frame branching outward from the keel of a ship and bending upward in a vertical direction; timbers in this sense are usually composites formed of several pieces rather than being a single piece of wood.
