Descripción

Wood from the species Brya ebenus native to Central America and the Caribbean islands. It comes from the black or rich brown heartwood. It is brittle, very heavy, exceedingly hard, having a fine uniform texture, and capable of receiving a high polish. It is used for inlays, brush backs, parquet, and musical instruments. Not a true rosewood.
