Descripción
Wood of the species Quercus cerris, native to Europe and Asia Minor. It is a hard, strong wood, used for furniture, construction, coffins, wagons, boats, tools, roofing, statuary, and veneer. It is beautifully mottled due to the abundance of its silver grain; however, the wood is susceptible to cracking and splitting when drying, which sometimes restricts its use to rough work.
