Descripción

Stiff, tough wood of the species Nyssa sylvatica, found from New Hampshire to Texas in the United States. It is hard to split. White to yellowish in color, it is used for mallets, furniture, bottle cases, pallets, baskets, boxes, veneer, barrels, and firewood.
