Descripción
Variegated leather, usually but not always calf, which has been decorated with an irregular spotted pattern created by daubing dye or ferrous sulfate upon it with a sponge or piece of cotton. Distinct from "sprinkled calf" which has had dye or ferrous sulfate sprinkled upon it to create a speckled pattern.
