Descripción
Fluid secreted by the lacrimal apparatus. Tears, along with other secretions, help form the protective, precorneal film on the exterior of the eye. Tears can be reflexly secreted in response to a variety of stimuli (bright lights, etc.). The secretion of tears as a result of emotional upset is called psychical weeping.
