Descripción
Glossy, enamel-like varnish popular from the 18th century until the 1920s, for use on coaches and early automobiles. Several formulations have been used for coach varnishes, including light-colored copal resins dissolved in linseed oil. Coach varnishes were eventually replaced by spray lacquer finishes.
