Descripción
A form of carbon black that is produced in refractory chambers in the absence of air by the decomposition of acetylene gas preheated to 800 degrees Celsius. As a pigment, it is softer, bluer, and more intense than other carbon blacks. It is also used in industrial applications requiring high electrical conductivity, such as in dry cells.
